A straight-through diaphragm valve is a special type of valve with shut-off function. The core secret of the "diaphragm valve" lies in the "diaphragm"—inside the valve, there is a layer of rubber or plastic "membrane," much like cling film, that isolates the fluid from the metal components. "Straight-through" reveals that the internal passage of the valve is like a straight pipe, allowing the fluid to "flow in a straight line" with minimal resistance and no risk of clogging.

Its closing element consists of a steel valve disc and a diaphragm made of soft material (a composite of rubber and fluoroplastic), separating the valve body cavity from the valve cover cavity. It works like "pinching a water pipe"—pinch it (the diaphragm is pressed down) to stop the water, and release it (the diaphragm is lifted) to allow water flow, achieving the purpose of shutting off the medium inside the pipe.
